Federal Criminal Background Check Services
When you need access to a criminal background check for employment purposes, One Source can deliver.
In our criminal background check, we search the government’s Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) U.S. Party Case Index. This search is a national index for U.S. district and appellate court cases. This includes a nationwide search of all district courts and all appellate courts (except for Second Circuit, Fifth Circuit, Seventh Circuit, Eleventh Circuit, and Federal Circuit).
To ensure your criminal background check is comprehensive, One Source cross-references these searches with a search of the Federal Bureau of Prisons database to compare records of persons who have been in federal prison. One Source also searches these records and compares personal information extracted from these records (name, date of birth, social security number, age, and addresses) to compare to the consumer that a report has been requested on.
With our criminal background check services, employers can trust their employment decisions and ensure the safety and security of their workplace.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The primary identifiers used in federal records are fingerprints. Disputes by a consumer will require the sending of fingerprints cards to the Federal Bureau of Investigations. As the primary identifiers for federal records are fingerprints, not all records will contain enough matching information that will cause One Source to report the records. One Source does not report Name Only Matches in our criminal background check, only cases where name and a minimum of one other personal identifier are present will be reported.
