One Source and Symphony Workforce Foundation Unite to Empower Nebraska Students with Fundamental Screening Tools

We are excited to announce that One Source, a Verified Credentials company, has partnered with Symphony Workforce Foundation’s Find the Why! (FTW!) career platform to provide background screening and personal data education to Nebraska students with the shared goal of bringing refreshed transparency, accountability, and education into the student-employer pipeline. This innovative approach places Nebraska as a frontrunner in youth workforce development readiness.

With this initiative, Nebraska students from middle school to college have direct access to background screening and other verification needs within the FTW! platform. As students connect with employers or apply for internships, they now have the option to request Verified Credentials for background checks and additional services—fostering trust between students and organizations while empowering young people to take charge of their personal information management records.

Additionally, Symphony Workforce Foundation’s new micro-credential modules on Personal Accountability and Financial Literacy help students understand their legal rights, financial obligations, and data privacy, giving Nebraska students a leg up on modern workforce readiness.

In keeping with the theme of transparency and education, we’ve also developed educational tools to help parents and guardians of FTW! participants better understand the background screening process by covering topics including—but not limited to—what information is collected, how it’s used, and how students can manage their credentials with confidence.
